NCFE Functional Skills Overview
At SEN Nurture & Bloom, we believe that every learner deserves the opportunity to develop the practical English and maths skills they need for everyday life, further learning, and future employment.
We offer NCFE Functional Skills qualifications in English and maths, delivered on a 1-to-1 basis or in small groups. This allows us to provide a personalised and supportive approach, tailored to each learner’s individual needs, abilities, and pace of learning.
Within our nurturing and inclusive environment, learners with Special Educational Needs are supported to build confidence, develop essential skills, and work towards recognised qualifications that can help them achieve their future goals.
NCFE Functional Skills English and Maths (Level 1–Level 2)
Our Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications focus on developing practical skills that learners can apply confidently in everyday life, education, and the workplace.
Learners will develop skills in areas such as:
- Reading and understanding information
- Writing clearly and effectively
- Speaking, listening, and communicating with others
- Using maths to solve practical, everyday problems
- Managing money, measurements, time, and data
These nationally recognised qualifications can support progression into further education, apprenticeships, training, or employment, while also helping learners develop greater confidence and independence in their everyday lives.
